Art Gallery Opening Features “The Fall Line”

Campus News Events

This past Friday, Sept. 23, PVCC invited the public to view the most recent art gallery opening, The Fall Line Retrospective. The opening was hosted by the PVCC visual arts department and took place in the North Gallery of the V. Earl Dickinson building at the south end of the campus. The exhibition highlights the work of artists that attend PVCC including visual arts and creative writing. It will be on display and available for viewing with free admission through Nov. 9, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.

This exhibit is celebrating the past 14 years of creative work done by student artists from the PVCC student-made magazine, The Fall Line. The opening reception allowed attendees to enjoy selected readings from the 2022 Fall Line; however, copies of this year’s issue are still available in the gallery while the exhibition is up for display. The exhibition is available online on the PVCC website

The event welcomed attendees with a beautifully put-together gallery. There were several areas in the gallery that offered information on the student artists and their work that was featured in the exhibition, keeping the guests connected while walking through the gallery. The event kept visitors informed and was visually immaculate, making it an enjoyable visit for attendees of all ages.

It was evident not only by the number of people in the room but also by the smiles on their faces that The Fall Line art gallery opening is something worth celebrating.
