For anyone looking to add a little magic into his or her life, the Jason Bishop Show is coming to the V. Earl Dickinson Building at Piedmont Virginia Community College on Friday, Sept. 23 at 7:30 p.m.

International award-winning illusionist Jason Bishop is well-known for being the only magician in the United States to perform the rare double levitation, plasma illusion and Op-art on his tour. One of Bishop’s audience favorites is his transformation of a one dollar bill to a hundred dollar bill, followed by him generously giving it to a member of the audience.

Bishop has taken the stage at a number of venues, including performing arts centers, theaters and cruise lines. He has also entertained many celebrities, such as Bam Margera and the late Chris Penn. Additionally, the show has been very well-received by other community colleges. “Audiences are left in awe,” said Dave Leenhouts, Director of Student Life at Coastal Georgia Community College.

Members of the audience can look forward to Bishop’s world-class feats of illusion, unique style and signature brand of humor.

Tickets for The Jason Bishop Show cost $7 for the faculty and staff at PVCC, $15 for adults and $10 for senior citizens and students; free admission will be granted, however, with the use of a student arts voucher. Call the PVCC Box Office at 434-961-5376 or go to the PVCC Cashier’s Desk, University of Virginia Arts Box Office, Sidetracks or Plan 9 Music to purchase tickets in advance.
