Chi Alpha’s Goals

Clubs

The Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship club is one of the many clubs featured at PVCC. The Chi Alpha group are a body of students who earnestly follow Jesus and come together to worship him, learn to be disciplined, to be encouraging of one another and also make fun lasting friendships.

In Fall 2022, the club met Mondays in room M160 from noon to 12:50 p.m., Tuesdays in the Bolick Student Center throughout the day, and Thursdays in room M175, differently with the women’s group at 4 p.m. and the men’s group at 5:30 p.m., and on some Fridays for special events hosted alongside the Chi Alpha group at the University of Virginia.

I did an online interview with Chi Alpha representative, Christopher Cole. First, he mentioned that the club is a little more expanded. “At PVCC we have a men’s small group and a women’s small group that meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays respectively,” he said. “Those days we have time for people to meet each other, share about their lives, and read the Bible together.”

He also mentioned that there is a UVA group that has around 350 to 400 members. “Attendance varies by event. Chi Alpha Connect often has about 10 students. The men’s group has seven to 15 people there while the girls group has five to 10,” he said.

If students out there want or need a place to make new friends and want a change in their lives, the Chi Alpha group is the way to go. You can learn more about the club on their website.
