“Reciprocity” is being organized by PVCC’s Radiography Club, which consists of second-year radiology students. The proceeds will off-set the expense of attending the annual state radiologic conference in April.

According to RAD club president, Joyce Howard, the cost can be prohibitive. This conference is important to both students and their instructors.

“Radiography students state-wide attend in order to prepare for their medical boards. This year, PVCC Radiography Program Director and Assistant Professor Nicole Winkler will be presenting on several key topics,” Howard said.

In conjunction with “Reciprocity,” a silent auction and raffle will be taking place. Tickets are on sale now from radiography students. Advance tickets will also be sold in the Bolick Student Center Tuesday, Nov. 29, Noon-5 p.m. and Thursday, Dec. 1, 1-5 p.m.

With student identification, PVCC students can purchase tickets for $7, while general admission is $10.

The program will be new to PVCC, and Howard hopes it will continue in future years. “It is exciting to be a part of something new, a new legacy,” Howard said. “When I think about all the clubs, all the events, I think about the people that started them.” She is also excited to be inviting performers that people do not usually have access to.
