Coca-Cola tests out new holiday flavor

Opinion Reviews

ORLANDO, Fla. —Back in January, Coca-Cola tested out a new flavor of coke at the World of Coke inside their testing lounge: Gingerbread Coke. Guests can purchase Gingerbread Coke at the Coca-Cola store in Disney Springs near Orlando, Fla.

This soda consisted of gingerbread syrup and Coke. The difference is that the coke has been made into a mocktail (a non-alcoholic cocktail) instead of being just a Coke in a can or bottle. It is a Coke with gingerbread syrup as a substitute to rum with a little gingerbread man to go on top with a paper straw.

While getting this mocktail, guests can take their mask off and drink this tangy but sweet drink around the rooftop bar. While at the rooftop bar, guests can look out at the light-up landscape of the walkways of Disney Springs and the lake next to it while listening to Christmas music.

The drink was an okay drink. The Coke gets really overpowered by the gingerbread, and it was a super overwhelming flavor. The best part was dipping the little gingerbread man and eating him like a giant.

For those who would like to get this drink, it is just $6. Enjoy the Gingerbread Coke to help bring the wondrous holiday spirit, because Santa would want this with his cookies.
