Everything’s Positive even at home: First Quadrant Update

Campus News

For students still having trouble with subjects that have anything to with quantitative problem solving such as math, sciences, computer sciences and more, there’s good news; the First Quadrant is still open via Zoom and meetings can be set up by email. The email students can reach the First Quadrant by is firstquadrant@pvcc.edu.

The first step students should take when contacting the First Quadrant is to email them using their school email during the times that they will be available and state the subject that they need help with. Students should expect a response within 30 minutes of the email. The First Quadrant will then find an available tutor and send the student a Zoom invite for the session. Students should make sure they check their email at least 10 minutes before their appointment so they can get the invitation to the Zoom meeting.

After speaking with a First Quadrant representative about how students should approach the tutoring sessions, Byadumnia Buluma said, “Treat it like you would an in-person session and all will be happy.”

The First Quadrant’s hours of operation are Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
