As 2012 begins, students at Piedmont Virginia Community College will have a chance to socialize and learn about the extracurricular clubs PVCC offers. On Wednesday, Jan. 25, PVCC will be holding the Annual Spring Welcome Back Social and Club Day.

Tables for each participating club will be set up in the Bolick Student Center and along the main hallway, with representatives from the clubs available to answer questions and sign people up throughout the day. Among PVCC’s various clubs to be represented are the Japanese Club and the Ultimate Frisbee Club.

In addition to the clubs, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the event will feature a plethora of free food and drinks that range from lasagna to cookies, provided by Charlottesville’s Korner Restaurant. To coincide with the food and drinks, live music will be provided by Susan Greenbaum of Richmond.

For Steve McNerney, Director of Student Activities, the Annual Spring Welcome Back Social and Club day is a great way for students to “interact socially, see what all of our clubs are about and up to, talk with faculty and staff, dig some great music and relax. It always has been a highlight of the year.”
