Rapture’s R2 Comes to Life Again

In under two weeks, Rapture opens its club R2 to another round of debauchery. R2 will be hosting several artists from Ebisu Sound, The Untz and the Bassment. Artists include Chee, Moniker, Mr. Jennings, Tre Justice, be.IN and Dutch. Each artist will be playing their own unique set of music with a special back to back set from be.IN and Dutch.
For those unfamiliar with R2, it is a second bar and dance floor inside of Rapture on Charlottesville’s downtown mall that occasionally opens up during club-like events. You can get to R2 through two entrances. One is the actual outdoor entrance separate from Rapture. The second is through the actual bar of Rapture. Walk past all the pool tables and past the stage inside of Rapture and you’ll be greeted by a curtain. On the other side of the curtain is R2.
Inside of R2, you will find 3 floors of places to explore. All of the bathrooms are on the bottom floor. The middle floor has the main dance floor, stages, and a bar. The top floor is a viewing deck of the stage and dance floor below.
