Writing Contest Winners Announced

Campus News
This year, the QEP and the One Book Project teamed up to sponsor the fifth annual Student Essay Writing Contest. The theme of the contest aligned with Liz Murray’s book Breaking Night, and the prompt was “Describe obstacles that you have overcome in your life in order to get an education.”

A six-person panel, made up of faculty, staff, and administrators, read the entries, and after much discussion, picked the winners. These winning entries addressed the prompt in engaging and unique ways, producing essays that were thoughtful, moving, and inspiring.
