Classifieds Clubs Events
All are welcome to join People Empowering People (PEP Club) and the Student Veterans Organization (SVO) at Piedmont Virginia Community College as we recognize and honor our country’s military. We would like to extend a special invitation to faculty and staff but all are invited to participate.  We understand that military and veteran students are a valued and vital component of our campus community. We honor their sacrifices and value their life experiences.

Dr. Frank Friedman, President of Piedmont Virginia Community College will lead the program and our guest speaker this year will be Pastor Harold L. Bare, Sr., PhD. of Covenant Church.  A Veterans Day Brunch prepared by Chef Ralph Brown of RBC Institute will be served following the ceremony.  The University of Virginia ROTC Color Guard will present colors promptly at noon followed by the Star Spangled Banner sung by Andrew Renshaw and then a military tribute by Albemarle Pipes & Drums.  Take this opportunity to listen to the Voices of Veterans as members of our Student Veterans Organization briefly share their stories.  The activities will be held in the North Mall Meeting Room of the Main Building and will include a raffle sponsored by the PEP Club. We hope you will consider joining us as we honor our veterans.
